Oh Chocolate milk, how sweet thy taste
The thought of you wakes me up in great haste
Your rich sugar goodness, with subtle proteins
Helps me conquer and achieve unbelievable things
Your creaminess knows no visible boundaries,
Whether from a machine, bottle, or gallon I say yes please
The chocolatey thickness makes me illogical
I drink when I shouldn’t, even make practice impossible
Even though you sometimes make my stomach quite queasy
When I see you I already know the decision is easy
What you’ve done for me as a beverage, a snack, and a lifestyle
I can never repay you for all of many smiles
Oh choco milk, can’t you see?
You always flood my mouth with pure chocolate ecstasy
With gratitude I proclaim you’re my favorite sweet drink
Thanks for all you do, you help my life remain in-sync.
In all seriousness, I’ve really taken chocolate milk for granted my whole life. It’s helped me get through college, get enough calories, and fulfill my sweet tooth whenever it’s been bugging me.
I’d like to start by saying I apologize for my inability to separate the shoe reviews and my daily life posts, I’m still working on it. Today was a good day! Started off by getting a good breakfast at the fueling station, hit up a class, then an easy 6 mile run up the beautiful Logan Canyon. Feeling super grateful for my college schedule and the ability to work on homework during the school day.
Later in the night I had a barbecue with all the people in my dorm and surrounding dorms! It was good, fun way to get to know some people, demonstrate my adequacy in spikeball, and play some beach volleyball as well, so that was a good time.
I miss my family quite a bit, but I’m excited to see them soon. Unfortunately, the smoke level in my hometown is pretty bad right now so it is hard for my family to spend a ton of time outdoors, and even resulted in my little sister’s race being cancelled. Praying that gets better and Idahoans can continue to enjoy the outdoors, but I’m thankful that isn’t too big of an issue here in Logan right now.
God has given me so much, and I just feel grateful right now for all the people that have blessed my life.
