Oh boy, what a day! I wanna take the time and apologize for my lack of blogs lately, but the break just means these upcoming blog posts will be even better.
Started off the morning by attending practice at 6:45. It was an easier workout than usual, we did 1×1200, 2×800, and 3×400, with 400 recov in between each rep. My calves felt better than last week, so we are slowly recovering but still have work to do.
Post practice and lifting, I got some fueling station breakfast, then hit my nutrition class. Snooze-fest
Post nutrition, I had a brief meeting with one of the coaches (I have one every other week pretty much, it’s required)
Post meeting, I went to Econ class. Snooze-fest. After this class, I searched some stores (Walmart and Hobby Lobby) frantically to find a chefs hat! I couldn’t find one unfortunately, which was very disappointing.
Post Econ class, I went to study hall to do some homework, then to accounting tutoring, where I did my work. I’m trying to put a lot more time into it to hopefully get a better grade than last time.
Random side note: FCA gave everybody a shirt that says Jesus won, and they are super sick. I wore it today and it got a ton of compliments.
Okay, post accounting tutoring is where the magic of the day happened, and an explanation. Our dorm was having a “Chopped” contest, like the popular cooking show. After enjoying this show when I was a kid, I knew someday I’d be destined for cooking greatness
Me and one of my roommates went on a little grocery run, and were prepared for any required ingredients. The ingredients turned out to be zucchini, Cheetos, and beef.
It was a good time. We all won 10 dollar gift cards, so that’s a plus. It was a pretty elaborate dish though, and we couldn’t believe we won. We basically made spaghetti, some crazy ground beef sauce, a boat dock made of garlic bread, a sandy shore of bread crumbs and Cheeto dust, and some boats made from hollowed zucchini’s. It was actually sick!
