10/30/24- Day 42 – Frost-Coated Land

Woke up this morning, and went out to my car to go get fueling station breakfast, and to my surprise, it was coated in frost! I had not anticipated to have to scrape my car, but was grateful to have the tool required! I looked around, and the mountains revealed some snow, alongside the grass coated in frost.

It was beautiful, but sad at the same time. A change of beauty, from the vibrant fall vibes, to the approaching crystal cold winter depression.

Anyways, I got breakfast, did some studying, and went to my accounting class. Shocker- it was very boring. However, afterwards I went and ran an easy 7 miles with Britt and Earnest, which is always a good time. The most wonderful, pleasant experience is finishing a run, and being able to down some chilled, rich chocolate milk.

After this run, I did some nutrition homework, and then went with my friends to a haunted house thing in one of the buildings next to my dorm. It was more funny than anything, but I felt bad not going because the RAs put a lot of time into it.

I miss my friends and family back home. I’m excited to see them at Thanksgiving time, and I’m also very excited to work my old job at Fleet Feet again soon too.

While I am not excited for the cold season that is coming, I’m thankful that I have everything I need to get through it. God truly has blessed me.

Right now, I’m just watching Beauty and the Beast (live-action with Emma Watson), with Seth, Jane, Alayna, Allie, and Cailey (the xc girls). I’m eating some popcorn, just reminiscing on the movie nights back home under a warm blanket. And that was my day!
