1/28/25 – Day 68 – Groovy, baby

Woke up this morning at 7:45, took a shower, got some fueling station breakfast, and took the bus to my English class. Right now I am writing a narrative essay in the class, and I chose to write it about the two scooter collisions I’ve been in.

Post class, I walked back to the stadium. It’s nice to walk a little every know and then, and it helps me to be grateful for resources like my scooter and the bus.

I was in study hall for a tiny bit, and then I headed to my bowling class.

I’ve gotten to the point where there are rarely gutter balls, and I almost always hit 8+ pins on my first throw. Whenever I utilize the spin correctly, it’s crazy how smoothly the through is, and the strikes fall. If I can get more consistent with that first throw, and work on spares just a little more, I think I can easily get 150+ every game. I’m excited to keep getting better.

Post bowling, I had a quick meeting with the coaches, then got some lunch and headed to my Foundations of Business class. We are talking right now about economic and political institutions and how they affect long term economic growth. It is very connected to history- so it is actually pretty interesting. I’m sure my dad would really like the class.

I then headed to practice, in the Laub. Weather actually wasn’t bad today, but we were in the Laub regardless. I was in the mile group today! Fun to be in that group, and run some quicker stuff. The workout was rather short, but I think it can be attributed to the fact that it’s race week.

Post practice, we went to the lift. It was easier today, and we only did two sets, instead of our usual three. Pretty chill overall, so it was nice.

I then took an ice bath, showered in the locker room, and headed to our team meeting. Post meeting, I went to Aggiepella rehearsal, and then got some chipotle with my friend Josiah and am working on homework. He is in the Econ class I took last semester, so I’m just helping him out a bit.

Today was a busy day! I felt like I was always rushing to something different, some things being fun, and others being stressful or tedious.

I’m grateful for the business of my life, but also excited to not have official practice tmr, and have a less hectic day. I can’t wait to race this weekend!
