The Black Plague

It’s a good day. Little weekend recap for you all:

Saturday night we went to The Amp. It was a night I will never forget- we had a fire, played music, and sang. Once it got darker, we cooked marshmallows, and just laughed and laughed as the night grew old. We goofed off up on the stage, blasted music out of a speaker and “moshed” and even had a bat scare that had everyone screaming running out of a pitch black cell. We left at probably around 10:30, but it was pitch black.

Sunday, I went to church with Ava. We went to her church, Alpine, which was packed. We were 10 minutes early, and there weren’t two open seats, so we had to sit in different spots! Crazy! Really unique and cool to see a church that full though (not even a super small church, it had a full balcony too). The worship was great, and my History of Jazz teacher was on the worship team playing bass guitar, so pretty neat. The sermon was alright, it discussed Calvinism versus Arminianism.

After church, we went to “Coffee Sunday” – Ava, Logan, Eli, Brie, Cameron, and Tayshaun all went. It was fun catching up with everybody. I didn’t get a drink, but it was nice to just be in that environment.

That day, I did some homework, and honestly not much else. I played some piano and guitar as well. I didn’t do anything crazy fun because there is a sickness outbreak taking place! A bunch of people on the team have gotten sick lately (I’m still healthy) which is Coach’s worst nightmare. It’s gotten to the point where he even cancelled practice today just because he wants to keep as many people healthy as he can.

Later Sunday night, I went to FCA, and that was pretty much my day. I had a frozen pizza, a free cafe rio meal, and some scrambled up breakfast including cereal, toast, etc.

This morning, I ran a chill 8 miles, but it was boring because I was by myself. I might double and do 4 more later. I am sitting in my Intro to Film class watching The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. It’s an old western film- I guess it’s a classic.

I’m getting mentally and physically ready to race this week- I’m excited but very nervous. Physically, I know I can do something crazy, because I’m in arguably the best shape I’ve ever been in right now. Only thing stopping me is going to be nerves.

I saw an adorable dog with a cop on my run this morning- a little golden retriever with a frisbee in its mouth burst up to me, whining after I stopped petting it. It made me miss Max a ton (not that Max would be excited to see me).

Unfortunately, I have gotten 0 dates or action at all lately. I need to get my rizz back!

That’s all the updates I have for today. This week l, there are some significant business events, so I’ll keep you posted on those.

Have a great day!
