Lately, I’ve been going to bed at 9:30 or 10 most nights. And let me tell you- it’s been awesome.
I’ve been getting to sleep at a good time lately, and noticing my body feeling a lot better. Unfortunately, I can’t sleep in most of the time, so going to bed early had paid dividends. I’m hoping if I do this consistently I will become a much better athlete.
I had a good weekend! It was pretty chill, I watched several movies and a lot of television, hung out with my team a little bit, and just overall laid low. My body is still tight from the race, and coach has announced several times that this is going to be a difficult, high-volume workout week, so I’m going to need to be really careful.
My good friend Caleb Boschma and I talked yesterday, and he told me he’s been running! He told me he ran 65 miles this past week, which is super awesome.
I’m still very bummed about how my race went, but I’m just trying to keep my head up and keep going.
This past weekend, I read through Acts 4, which was impactful to me due to the kind of stuff that’s going on in our world right now. You should read it!
Now, to my main topic for the day: BlockBlast.
There is nothing, and I mean NOTHING. That pisses me off more than people that sit next to me in class, and play BlockBlast, but are actually horrible at it. If you can’t play the game, please don’t play it at all, but especially in public where I can see you playing it.
Picture this- you have two different rows that both are almost filled out. One row is missing a one by one square, and one row is missing a two by one square.
If you receive a one by one square, you put it in the spot where you’re missing a one by one square right? You’d think that, but there are actually people on Earth that will put it inside the two by one gap. So horrible to watch.
So I beg of you, don’t play the game in public if you are putting blocks in random places. It’s like rage-baiting.
I’ll step off my soap box now. Over the weekend, Brad and I made some pizzas, that were absolutely fire. On Saturday, I had my longest run ever, and the canyon was stunning. I forgot my GoPro, but I’ll bring it later this season because it was breathtaking. Later that day, me and Ethan made some lunch which was pretty tasty (chipotle beef bowls), then that night Brad, Mitchell, Garrett, and I played pickleball, and then beach volleyball, I had 35,000 steps and had travelled 25 miles on foot that day, which is crazy to think about.
Well, new week new me. I’m gonna try to be extra Christlike this week, and show my boldness as a Christian man. Pray for me that I can show kindness to even people that I struggle with, especially people that can’t play BlockBlast.
