Well, since I’m officially selected as Mr. Athlete, I gotta figure out a talent to perform for the show. I have no clue what to do, so I need plenty of ideas from all of you.
It’s gonna take a lot of time, but I’m committed to the joke.
This weekend wasn’t too exciting- did some homework, watched some movies, and that’s pretty much it.
However- I did help my friends move a piano. Maybe one of the worst ideas I have witnessed in my college career this far. There were four of us that went to this lady’s house to receive this free piano off Facebook marketplace. Only having four people was a bad idea.
The piano had wheels, but one of them had fallen off, and obviously it was very heavy. After about 20 minute of trying to get it out of the door, we got it, then the next challenge was into Ethan’s truck bed. We were trying for so long, and had no luck.
Finally, we decided to give it one last try, and magically, some mystical force assisted us, and we got it into the truck. I like to this it was God, even though he was probably laughing at our stupidity.
Once we got it in the truck, we strapped it down with some cables (it was hardly strapped down) and drove off.
It was wobbling side to side, and we had great fear it would fall down in Ethan’s truck.
Slowly, we got to their apartment. The plan was to move it up this ramp on the backside of their apartment, so we didn’t have to go up stairs. However, someone was parked in front of the ramp. As we were preparing to attempt to unload it, some Mormon missionaries pulled up and joined us. And then three more strangers. And then Brad and Mitchell joined too! Suddenly, a job that was 4 people, became 12 people.
Since we couldn’t use the ramp, we decided to lift it over a gate onto the ramp. With all of us working, we successfully did it, and pushed it to their dorm. It left a massive trail of scrape lines on the concrete, and rumbled the entire dorm building as we walked past. I was scared the three inch concrete would break out from underneath us. The whole process took about two hours, but somehow, we managed.
Right now we are watching 2001: A Space Odyssey in my Film class, so naturally, it’s an excellent time to write a blog.
I need to get my rizz up- right now my love life is a ghost town!
Last week, I hit the most miles of my life! I’m excited to be fit and healthy, and I’m hopeful for a grace rest of my season.
Short little blog post today, more updates to come especially with Mr. USU. I’m hoping to go home this weekend!
